Bang and Olufsen boots out boss after sales sour

January 25th, 2008 · No Comments

Luxury Danish home entertainment brand Bang & Olufsen, which for years has successfully cultivated its own particular type of consumer, has jettisoned president and chief executive Torben Sorensen after reporting a dramatic fall in profits.
According to B&O chairman Jorgen Worning the company’s board of directors now wants to refocus on Bang & Olufsen’s core business of AV products. “The recent years’ disappointing development in the group’s turnover, and the regrettable downgrading of the company’s result, has contributed to the Board’s decision to make changes within the company’s top management,” he explained.
