HD DVD not on clearance, says US retailer

February 5th, 2008 · No Comments

US retail chain Circuit City is not clearing out its stock of HD DVD players. The high-profile retailer has refuted online reports which have suggested that it has put Toshiba’s hi-def players ‘on clearance.’ The HD-A3 and HD-A30 players, which recently had their prices cut 149 and 199 dollars respectively, remain in the Circuit City range. The company maintains that it is “platform agnostic” when it comes to hi-def hardware.
