
Sharp is pushing its Aquos LCD TV brand hard in China. The brand recently concluded an AQUOS Experience roadshow in Shanghai. For the promotion, three trailers toured 24 cities promoting the brand’s range of flatscreens TVs. Demand for HD sets is expected to explode in China during the run-up to the Beijing Olympics, which is being touted as the first ever hi-def Olympiad. During 2007, Sharp contracted Chinese star Rene Liu to be the face of Aquos in the territory.
