The high cost of Blu-ray players will stall the mainstream adoption of the format. So predicts a new report from US-based research group Applied Business Intelligence. With few BD players able to display advanced features such as Bonus View and BD Live, retailers have little to sell when it comes to format benefits, they conclude. The report suggests that the PS3 will continue to dominate, maintaining an 85 per cent market share of all BD players until 2013.
