Indiana Jones will make his debut on Blu-ray on October 14. Paramount has confirmed the date for the release of the fourth adventure, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The movie, which caused consternation amongst Japanese audiences with its ‘Atomic fridge’ sequence, will appear as a single and two disc DVD, as well as a 50GB Blu-ray.
Supplemental materials on the double-disc DVD and BD will include the documentary The Return of a Legend; a six-part production diary; assorted stills and behind-the-scenes photos; a trio of pre-visualization sequences plus six short features on about specific aspects of the movie.
The BD will also exclusively feature three pop-up interactive timelines, covering the story, its production and real-world aspects referenced in the film.
Paramount has also confirmed a DVD-only box set Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventure Collection, surprising those who were expecting the other Raiders movies to be released on BD simultaneously.
