Trekkers will soon be able to watch their favourite show from the comfort of…the Captain’s Chair.
CBS Consumer Products has confirmed the release a full-size (kinda) operational replica of Captain James T Kirk’s bridge chair.
This corker of a Star Trek collectable has a swivel design, and offers light-up controls and button-activated sound effects from the series. The iconic SF seat will also feature Kirk’s dialogue from the show (”Lt. Uhura, open a channel to all decks” and “Kirk to engineering, Scotty, report!”).
Officially licensed, the Captain’s chair will be available from specialist online retailers this Christmas, priced at 2,000 dollars.
