PVR owners watch fewer ads, abandon DVD

According to Ofcom, 78 per cent of viewers owning a PVR device, such as SkyPlus, routinely skip advertisements. 28 per cent add that their use of a digital recorder also makes them less likely to watch DVDs. Only 9 per cent of users said that they watch more DVDs, since acquiring their PVR.

Toshiba sues German DVD maker

Toshiba has filed a lawsuit against a German DVD replicator EDD Bizz GmbH.
