NBC sacks Heroes creative team as ratings tank

In a surprise move, NBC has jettisoned Heroes writers/co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb. The news comes as the show struggles in its third season, as viewers tire of its convoluted plotlines. Ratings are down on average 18 per cent this season.

China confirms digital TV switch-over for 2015

China will switch over from analogue to digital TV by 2015. That’s the pronouncement of the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV.  The country currently offers both digital and analogue programming. No masterplan for The Avengers admits Iron Man director, Hulk’s future unclear

Battlestar and Lost win Tech Emmy Awards

This year’s technical Emmy’s have proved good news for the team’s behind genre shows, with the announcement of a brace of awards. Battlestar Galactica scored an Emmy for the special effects work on the season four opener He That Believeth In Me. Its spin-off TV movie Razor was also honoured.
