Sampo president Chen Jui-hsun revealed that the company has obtained orders from Sharp for the contract manufacturing of 32 and 37 inch AQUOS TVs.
Viewsonic/Chi Mei
Viewsonic indicated that it has received the Windows Vista certification for its monitors. Chi Mei is also expecting to soon win the certification as well.
Kolin
According to Kolin President Frank Lee, the company hopes to ship 1.2 million LCD TVs in 2007. 500,000 panels will be delivered by LG.Philips LCD, while the remaining portion will be supplied by AUO, CMO and Samsung.
Sampo
Sampo has introduced a low-priced 42-inch XGA PDP model for the Taiwan market. The LM-42HW35 carries a price tag of NT$49,900.
LG Electronics
LG Electronic has introduced the new DA70 LCD TV, which is also equipped with PC functions. The DA70 model is the first of its kind under the company’s TV-PC Series.
Sharp
According to Sharp’s latest Japanese press release, the company has introduced two 32 inch LCD TVS (LC-32GS10 and LC-32GS20) capable of delivering full HD pictures in the Japanese market.
Sampo
Supported by new LCD TV orders from clients such as Sharp, Sampo expects the Taiwanese flat screen TV market to grow by 20 percent for 2007.
